Position Summary: 

Airbus seeks a summer intern/temp to support its Tax Department. This experience will provide the intern/temp exposure to work in a corporate tax department in preparation for a career in accounting. The position will require strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance: 80%

  • Administration of state and federal notices
  • Preparation of International and Consolidated forms (Form 5472, 5471, 851, etc.)
  • Assists/Prepares and files federal state and local estimated tax payments and extension requests
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger income tax accounts

 Other Tax Related Activities: 20% 

  • Prepares and files state and local property tax and sales and use tax returns
  • Assist/prepare various other analysis and miscellaneous filings for all U.S. entities
  • Research tax issues on research websites such as CCH
  • Assists with special projects as needed

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university (in progress)

Experience:

  • Zero to two years of experience in the field or in a related area is required. Public accounting experience preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Candidate should have CPA licensure or be actively pursuing licensure (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Curious personality with a desire to understand "how things work" and "how to improve processes"

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong propensity for spreadsheets, systems and processes

Travel Required:

  • 0% Domestic and International

Citizenship:

  • Authorized to Work in the US
