Position Summary: 

The Internship - Engineering Quaility (Cotract) will provide assistance to the engineering quality group to allow quality engineers more efficient use of their quality engineering skill sets.  The Intern is expected to assist with time-consuming tasks that do not require quality engineering experience but need to be done to complete an analysis and to support the needs of the department. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Generate quality reports and templates as required to support current projects
  • Organize quality data and provide assistance generating documents for review
  • Generate weekly KPI reports to capture metrics of related engineering activities
  • Attend and record minutes of meetings and coordinate with internal or external customers on projects as required
  • Assist in coordination as required with Customers and Suppliers
  • Assist in the development of presentation material (predominantly illustration development and data presentation)
  • Support department in generating internal quality reports, drafting of quality documents, archiving
  • Compile data into useful formats for trending and improvement opportunities 
  • Input supplier data into database(s) for reporting and analysis

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: 

  • MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and coordinate with many different functions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to excel in a detail oriented environment.
  • Familiar with Quality Management Systems, EN9100, ISO 14001 and KPI Analysis tools

Education / Special Qualifications: 

  • Enrolled in an accredited, full-time 4-year engineering degree program in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum Junior level or enrolled in a Master's degree program is acceptable
