Director of Change Management and Culture Evolution


Position Summary: As a part of the EMPLOYEE RELATIONS and TRANSFORMATION team, the Director of Change Management and Culture Evolution will design and drive the strategy on the Airbus NA culture and change management ambition, including delivery of employee experience activities. This position will work closely with other members of the ER & TRANSFORMATION team and the greater Airbus Americas HR community in order to facilitate positive organizational culture change. This position will serve as the primary interface with Airbus Europe HU organization on culture evolution and change management topics, deploying corporate programs, and ensuring alignment to Top Company Objectives.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of employee experience activities aligned with Airbus culture evolution: 30%
  • Develop and implement new strategic and tactical objectives for Employee Experience topics including:
    • Employee Recognition (non-monetary rewards)
    • Corporate Philanthropy
    • Communication Structure
    • Employee Development
    • Additional topics in which employees have a significant stake in the eventual outcome
  • Benchmark external organizations, utilize strategic partnerships, such as Seramount, to identify best practices to influence strategy and activities. Gather ideas and organize work-streams on relevant topics
  • Form project teams to implement Employee Experience objectives
  • Guide the project teams to success by facilitating collaboration amongst members and engaging with stakeholders
  • Interface with HRBP and Site Leadership Teams to disseminate E.E. activities across Airbus Americas

  1. Lead the change management strategy for Airbus in North America: 30%
  • Serve as subject matter expert on change management topics-Complete Change Management assessments, and support Change Management networks/teams
  • Provide upskilling and coaching support to Mobile Site MFT, and HRBP's on change management practices, tools and methods
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Mature and communicate overall change management strategy
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead ongoing change management activities
  • Guide ongoing activities by actively communicating way-points throughout the implementation process
  • Make recommendations to boost the capability and ongoing development of change management objectives
  • Further develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become a master practitioner, acting as a change management expert within the business

  1. Manage the culture evolution: 35%
  • Develop and present a culture evolution strategy
  • Deploy engagement tools to measure culture evolution: My Working Environment and Culture Assessment
  • Drive its implementation through coordination with relevant stakeholders and project groups
  • Analyze key performance indicators to measure culture evolution, including comparative analytics of various inputs-My WE, culture assessment, various sensing instruments
  • Identify problem areas and pain points and work to correct them as they arise

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned: 5%

  • Actively participate in ad-hoc activities with the business and support functions
  • Assist with additional objectives as necessary

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


Education:

  • Bachelor's in a relevant field
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field (preferred)

Experience:

  • 10 years' experience in business or supporting the business driving change and influencing culture in a customer facing role
  • Demonstrated experience directing programs, leading innovation activities, and/or developing new initiatives and strategies as a part of a larger team within an international organization
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Direct experience managing employee experience focused programs (preferred)

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Advanced certifications in Human Resources, Project Management, or Change Management (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Strong Strategic thinking capabilities
  • In-Depth knowledge pertaining to the impact of various employee experience activities
  • Ability to influence, inspire, and engage
  • Ability to work in a highly organized and self-directed manner
  • Strong team building and relationship building skills
  • Excellent judgment and decision making capability
  • Demonstrated success implementing large scale corporate programs
  • Sound project management skills and familiarity with different project management approaches, tools and phases of the project life cycle
  • Thorough understanding of the impact culture can have on organizational success
  • Sound analytics and comparative analysis skills to determine interventions needed to impact culture and the employee experience

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong ability to influence and negotiate with others
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

  • French, German, or Spanish language skills are highly desired but not a requirement

Travel Required:

  • < 20% Domestic and International
