Position Summary:

Offer Fleet Management support to allow safe, reliable, economical operations at highest customer satisfaction for each Airbus programs operating in the Americas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and make recommendation improve fleet performance
  • Define mitigations for regional issues in Americas and follow up final fix availability, with close link with SB program team
  • Support all Programs and other Customer Services organizations by providing in-service data, reference data, dashboards, reports etc. and support Aircraft and Services Sales activities
  • Promote fleet performance tools and support to Americas customers
  • Co-operate with authorities, monitor fleet performance of the Americas customers in respect of safety, reliability and economics, and propose necessary actions.
  • Build up partnership with Americas customers through regular Airline visits, Fleet performance review, regional seminar and workshops
  • Assist operators to reduce learning curve and acquire good handling methods by providing necessary transfer of Know How support
  • Accountable for gathering from America's customers specific operational / maintenance / airworthiness requirements
  • Contribute to ensure safety of the in-service fleet.
  • Prepare and support new program EIS & new customer EIS, with a close link to SBx program, as a transverse function in Airbus Americas customer service.
  • Provide expertise and support to Safety organization on safety prevention.
  • Evaluate Airlines and MRO's maintenance and engineering practices and identify areas to be enhanced in terms of safety, organizational efficiency, quality and technical capacities.

  • Maintaining SB Customer Dashboards, Digital Control Room (DCR)
  • Americas fleet performance monthly reports(A320/330/350/310 family)
  • Americas fleet performance quarterly report (A320/330/350/310 family)
  • Fleet performance tools/support map, quarterly
  • Highlights monitored retrofit campaigns in Americas, quarterly
  • Program regional seminar, yearly .

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

  • Graduated in engineering, aeronautical studies or aircraft systems
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred

Experience:

  • About 8 years' experience in airline maintenance & engineering activities.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in line maintenance operation on Airbus A/C (preferably on A320 or A330 or A340 family)
  • Knowledge of airline engineering
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA Regulation (minimum JAR121, JAR145 and JAR66) is a plus.
  • Knowledge about airlines' organization and operation
  • Good knowledge of customer needs in terms of maintenance & engineering operational activities
  • Experience in technical service/support field is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Experienced in working with Electronic Data Processing systems.
  • Capable of strongly defending Airbus Customer Services and customers' interests in front of third parties

  • 2000+ A/C AIRBUS fleet to be supported, including brand new asset and ageing aircraft

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus

  • None

Travel Required:

  • 25% Domestic and International
