Position Summary:

 The Accounting Junior Analyst will contribute and support Accounting activities for all Airbus Americas subsidiaries working closely with the controllers and the Finance stakeholders.

 The job holder will interface with Financial Systems, Treasury department, Controllers, Tax department and Accounting department from Airbus Group Accounting and Consolidation team.

He or She will ensure accuracy of costs allocation, G/L Accounting and compliance with IFRS rules and US GAAP when applicable as well as Airbus Group Accounting Manual.

In addition to the required financial skills, the candidate will need excellent analytical and communication skills.

 Primary responsibilities:

 Function and Program Finance Accounting 40%

  •  Contribute to the definition and governance of the monthly closing process throughout the Finance organization. Ensure that deadlines are met and provide support as needed.
  • Support monthly close by working closely with the controlling team and advice on corrections. Ensure quality of year-to-date actual data through consistency checks with financial system reporting, general accounting, and purchasing officers of the function. Review month-end results and request corrections as necessary.
  • Organize recurrent pre & post-closing meetings with FC teams by Functions to address proactively issues,
  • Support the Accounting Team on Compliance with the Bureau of Economic Analysis deliverables as well as tax deliverables

 Year-end, Quarterly and Monthly Closings and Financial Reporting 40%

  • Ensures timely, accurate and completeness of the Accounting process under the supervision of the Accounting Managers for each closings,
  • Contribute to the sustainability of the analysis of the financial reporting by business areas
  • Supports Accounting team on Financial Statements analysis that are the basis for comparing actual financial achievements versus Plan and Budget
  • y on escalated issues, working with stakeholders such as Accounting, Procurement, IM and internal customers to address complex issues impacting performance
  • Support Accounting team on the preparation of monthly reconciliation to ensure implementation of Internal Controls rules and compliance
  • Contribute to the Financial reporting to Airbus Group via SAP and FACTS+ preparation financial package,

 Project Management 20%

  •  Ensure implementation of SAP system enhancements and other financial tools that enhance operational effectiveness,
  • Provide guidance on Accounting methodology,
  • Ensure implementation compliance, segregation of duties and internal controls rules


  1. Required:
  •  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance Business Administration or related field. (Can be in progress, provided 50% completion)


  1. Preferred:
  • 1-3 years' experience within an accounting/finance function, including management of accounting team members.(Optional
  • Process mapping and process documentation experience
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Lean Methodologies.
  • Exposure to a multi-country or multi-site operating environment with high cultural diversity
  • Exposure to the Aerospace industry and related sectors.
  • Exposure to a Shared Services environment.
  • Experience in Project, Performance and Change Management. 

Skills & competences:

  • Service delivery and mindset orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate cross-group cooperation within an organization and influence change in others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Experience using integrated ERP systems, SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and Power Point).
  • Negotiation level of English mandatory, French would be a plus.


Decision Making, Complexity:

Position works with minimal direct supervision, making appropriate decisions on a daily basis regarding the processing of supplier invoices for payment and the processing of employee expense reports for reimbursement.
