Position Summary:   

The Programs & Operation Audit team looks for candidates who have operational experience in engineering, manufacturing, or customer service, and would like to join the Programs & Operations Audit team. The auditor will analyse various operational subjects in the programs and functions across all Airbus divisions in US, Canada and LATAM, and get to learn a large part of the business. The auditor will contribute to the development and execution of an audit program and other ad hoc audits based around the current risks faced by the business.

 

The auditor will be part of a team of auditors to resource audits as required to assist in the review of major business topics for Airbus. Many tasks will involve working with senior and executive management of the business on audits that are complex and often where there is not a single clear answer. The purview of the auditor covers corporate functions, all Airbus divisions, subsidiaries and related companies as well as our suppliers and partners. The auditor will report administratively to the Chief of Staff to Chairman & CEO as proximity manager and to Corporate Audit as home function.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defining and carrying out audit objectives in agreement with the leadership team.
  • Delivering structured, objective assessments of complex subjects.
  • Identification of key business risks and challenging senior management through the application of in-depth knowledge and experience of the practical issues facing the business.
  • Coaching and training of less knowledgeable auditors.
  • Providing professional support to senior management on the resolution of business problems by identifying recommendations that are practical and in compliance with Airbus standards.
  • Contributing to the delivery of individual audit tasks against professional standards.
  • Challenging the business on the way things are done and identifying best practices.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of risk management in the areas being reviewed.
  • Assessing findings and developing practical and compliant recommendations.
  • Assisting in feedback meetings with senior management to discuss findings, develop recommendations and achieve acceptance for implementation.
  • Tracking implementation and completion of adequate corrective actions.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: 

 

Education:

  • Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering or related field.

Experience:

  • Has already had operational responsibilities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Programs.
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Information Technology is a plus.
  • Prior experience with international organizations and entities is a plus.

  • Effective ability in stakeholder management.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively manage own time.
  • Ability to operate in a global multicultural environment.

 

Certifications:

  • Certification in Auditing or Risk Management is a plus.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • French, German, or Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in a third language is a plus.

Travel:

  • 40% Domestic, Canada, LATAM and International.

Nature of Contacts:

Involved communication on a daily basis with internal and external parties.

 

Physical Requirements:

Candidate should be comfortable working for extended periods of time using computers and be able to travel independently.
