Position Summary:   

The auditor will operate in a dynamic Corporate Audit team within Airbus in North America.  She or he will conduct compliance-related audits (e.g. relating to anti-fraud, anti-corruption and other business ethics topics) within Airbus.  The purview of the auditor covers corporate functions, all Airbus divisions, subsidiaries and related companies as well as our suppliers and partners. The auditor will report administratively to the Chief of Staff to Chairman & CEO as proximity manager and to Corporate Audit as home function.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform compliance-related audits, identifying key facts and recommendations in accordance with Airbus business standards.
  • Prepare clear, concise and detailed audit reports providing clear and logical presentation of facts and evidence.
  • Perform follow-ups on major audit findings.
  • Support the continued development of the Forensic & Compliance team processes and communication of best practices.

 

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with emphasis on Finance and Accounting or related field.
  • MS in Accounting or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional setting with Ethics & Compliance background.
  • At least 3 years of experience of financial auditing with Big Four accounting firms or similar.
  • 2-3 years of multi-module SAP system experience is preferred.
  • Anti-corruption and anti-fraud experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with industrial and manufacturing organizations is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Information Technology is a plus.
  • Prior experience with international organizations and entities is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Confident knowledge of Accounting and Finance.
  • Strong interpersonal spoken and written communication skills.
  • Significant personal initiative and tenacity both when working alone or as a member of a team
  • Ability to perform work with professionalism, precision and in a fully compliant manner.
  • Ability to review and analyse financial, legal and other documentation in detail.
  • Ability to compile detailed financial, professional, and investigative reports.
  • Ability to conduct interviews effectively and in full compliance with local laws and company policy.
  • Ability to effectively present information and answer questions from company's leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other experts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and manage effective use of own time.
  • Ability to operate in a global multicultural environment.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • French, German, or Spanish skills are a plus.

Certifications:

  • CPA certification is a plus.

Travel:

  • The auditor may need to travel to Airbus locations within the US, Canada, LATAM and internationally, taking with up to 50% of the assigned working hours.

Nature of Contacts:

Involved communication on a daily basis with internal and external parties.

 

Physical Requirements:

Candidate should be comfortable working for extended periods of time using computers and be able to travel independently.
